The Poetry of Remembrance

A 4-Week Healing Journey with Erica Rock

Wednesdays Sept 30th, Oct 7th, 14th, 21st

Not all healing happens through understanding.

Not all healing happens through releasing.

And not all healing happens through fixing what is broken.

Sometimes healing happens when the forgotten parts of ourselves are finally given permission to speak.

The abandoned child.

The grieving heart.

The part that feels unseen.

The part that still believes it is not enough.

The part that has spent years carrying pain in silence.

In this four-week immersive experience, you will learn how to use poetry as a profound tool for healing, self-discovery, emotional integration, and remembrance.

This is not a writing course.

This is not about grammar, technique, or becoming a poet.

This is about learning how to listen.

How to hear the voices within yourself that have been longing to be acknowledged.

How to transform pain into understanding.

How to transform wounds into wisdom.

And how to become the loving presence your own heart has been waiting for.

The Healing Through Poetry Process

At the core of this work is a simple but transformative process:

Step One: Become Still

We begin by moving beyond the noise of the mind and into the wisdom of the heart.

Through guided practices, reflection, and presence, you will learn how to access the deeper layers of yourself that often remain hidden beneath daily life.

Step Two: Give the Wound a Voice

Rather than analyzing or judging what arises, we allow the wounded aspect of ourselves to speak.

The abandoned child.

The betrayed heart.

The fearful self.

The exhausted self.

The angry self.

The grieving self.

For perhaps the first time, these parts are given space to express what they have been carrying.

Step Three: Listen with Compassion

Instead of trying to fix the pain, we learn to witness it.

To hear it.

To honor it.

To understand what it has been trying to communicate.

Step Four: Respond with Healing Poetry

From the wisdom of the heart, we learn how to write healing responses that bring compassion, truth, grace, forgiveness, understanding, and love to the wounded parts within us.

This is where transformation begins.

Not because the wound is forced to disappear.

But because it is finally loved.

Week One

Meeting the Voice Within

Most people spend their lives disconnected from their inner world.

In Week One, you will learn how to become still enough to hear the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be acknowledged.

You Will Learn:

• How emotional wounds become hidden beneath daily life

• Why awareness alone does not create healing

• How to access the wisdom of the heart

• The foundations of healing through poetry

• How to create safety for authentic expression

Transformation:

You will begin developing a deeper relationship with your inner world and discover that your pain is not your enemy—it is a messenger.

Week Two

Giving the Wound a Voice

What remains unspoken often remains unhealed.

This week is devoted to helping wounded aspects of self express what they have been carrying.

You Will Learn:

• How to identify the voice beneath emotional pain

• Inner child poetry practices

• Working with grief, abandonment, rejection, shame, betrayal, and self-worth

• How to write from the wound without becoming trapped in the wound

Transformation:

You will begin releasing years of emotional pressure by allowing hidden parts of yourself to finally speak.

Week Three

Becoming the Compassionate Witness

Healing accelerates when we stop abandoning ourselves.

This week teaches you how to become the loving presence your heart has always needed.

You Will Learn:

• How to witness difficult emotions without judgment

• Self-compassion practices through poetry

• How to identify limiting stories and inherited beliefs

• The difference between reliving pain and transforming pain

Transformation:

You will learn how to hold yourself with greater love, compassion, grace, and understanding.

Week Four

Writing the Poetry of Remembrance

The final week is where healing and wisdom begin to merge.

You will learn how to create healing poems that support ongoing emotional integration and self-remembrance.

You Will Learn:

• How to write healing responses to wounded parts

• Creating poems for forgiveness, self-love, freedom, and empowerment

• Turning wounds into wisdom

• Creating a personal poetry healing practice

• How to continue the work long after the program ends

Transformation:

You will leave with a powerful healing process you can use for the rest of your life whenever pain, grief, fear, self-doubt, or emotional challenges arise.

What Makes This Different?

Most healing approaches ask:

“What is wrong with me?”

This work asks:

“What part of me needs to be heard?”

Most healing approaches focus on fixing.

This approach focuses on listening.

Most healing approaches attempt to remove pain.

This approach transforms your relationship with pain so that healing can naturally unfold.

By The End Of This Journey

You will have:

• A repeatable process for healing through poetry

• Greater emotional awareness and self-compassion

• Tools for working with grief, shame, fear, abandonment, and self-worth

• A collection of personal healing poems

• A deeper connection to your heart

• A renewed sense of self-love and self-understanding

• Greater freedom from the emotional patterns that have been holding you back

Most importantly, you will discover that the parts of you that have been hurting were never asking to be fixed.

They were asking to be loved.

And sometimes love arrives in the form of a poem.
